Dec 20, 1952 - Mar 3, 2025
A memorial service to celebrate Adeline’s life will be held in the fall of 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Adeline Kerschbaumer, aged 72, on March 3, 2025. Born on December 20, 1952, in Fairview, Alberta, Adeline spent the majority of her life in the community she loved.
In February 1972, Adeline married Joe Larsback, and in April, they welcomed their daughter, Sheri, into the world. Adeline devoted herself to her family and friends, always putting others first. Though the marriage did not last, Adeline and Joe remained friends throughout her lifetime, a testament to her kind and caring nature.
Her most cherished years were spent alongside her partner, Frank Smith, in their outfitting business. They enjoyed a life full of adventure, especially in the great outdoors, where they found peace in their cabin at Doig River, miles from nowhere. Adeline's love for nature and the simple joys of life were always at the heart of who she was.
Adeline always dreamed of becoming a grandmother, and when the time came, she embraced it with open arms. When she and Frank moved to Rocky Mountain House to be closer to their growing family, Adeline found joy in spending countless hours with Shilo and Graysen, sharing her love for arts, crafts, gardening, and the beauty of the world around them. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.
Adeline is predeceased by her beloved partner, Frank Smith, as well as her parents, Fred and Adeline Kerschbaumer. She leaves behind her daughter, Sheri Gardeski (Chad), and her precious grandchildren, Shilo and Graysen. Adeline is also survived by her brothers, Ed Kerschbaumer (Geraldine), Fred Kerschbaumer (Heather), John Kerschbaumer (Heather), Eric Kerschbaumer (Shirley), and Len Kerschbaumer (Eileen), as well as her sisters, Ann Mitchell and Kathy Beck (Victor), 22 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Adeline’s life will be held in the fall of 2025.
