Obituary

Laura Lee Anderson (Rowley)
November 13, 1975 - July 22, 2023
With heavy hearts we sadly announce the sudden passing of Laura Anderson on July 22, 2023. Laura was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan to Marie and Bernard Rowley.
Laura lived in the Battlefords area and developed many long-term friendships that never faded over the years. She moved to Nordegg, Alberta in 2004 and worked for the Nordegg Lodge for several years. She then started with Canada Post and eventually became Postmaster. Laura had many hobbies including cooking, camping, and crocheting to name a few. She was very empathetic and offered help to many in any way she could.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Karl; her daughter Karlee; her parents Marie and Bernard; and brothers Jason (Wendy) and Colin. She also leaves to mourn a very large extended family and countless friends in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
A Time of Fellowship and Memories will be held for Laura at the Nordegg Community Center, Nordegg, Alberta on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A luncheon will follow.

I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Laura. I had got to know her over the years after marrying her cousin, Sean.

Laura’s kind, empathetic, and caring nature always shone through in her interactions with myself and my family.

I will never forget the kindness she showed when my brother (who she had never formally met) was deployed with the CAF in Latvia, and Laura and Karlee took the time out of their busy lives to mail him a personalized Christmas card.
The following year she asked if he was deployed again so she could do the same.

Thinking of Karl and Karlee, the Rowley, L’Heureux and Anderson families as they deal with this devastating loss. May the love that Laura showed others and the love everyone had for her bring you peace in this difficult time.

My condolences to Karl, Karlee, Jason (Wendy & kids) and all of Laura’s family. Laura’s passing is of great shock and sadness.

Laura was a dear friend that we shared a close friendship while I lived in North Battleford. She made my lovely wedding invitations and made a beautiful cross stitch art piece that she framed and still hangs in my living room wall.

She called me last year out of the blue. I am so grateful for that conversation. We shared memories and old time stories.

I cherished our friendship Laura. You were one of those friends that came into my life when I very much needed that friendship and closeness. We had such good times.
