Oh Walter, this is so sad, I'm going to miss you buddy! I often wondered what happened to you after you left the Esso. I miss you, rest easy.
Miranda Koens (Bigelow):
Heaven gained someone absolutely beautiful and words cannot express how saddened our family is.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Walter knew just how genuine of a human being he was and how unselfish he was to those around him. This man could light up an entire room with his laughter or his Elvis impressions. He would give his last dollar to someone if they needed it and not even blink an eye about it.
He raised me and my siblings as if we were his own and showed us love and nurture along the way and for that I am grateful. I am so thankful for my childhood weekends spent with him watching movies and eating take out, thankful for him being there for every milestone I had and for getting me my first car. I have so many great memories with him to cherish and share with my own children and knowing that warms my heart.
The world needs more people like you Walter. I hope you are at peace now and watching down over everyone who deeply loved you.
