Obituary

Cosman (nee Furmanic), Florence Adele

Florence Adele Cosman (nee Furmanic) entered into rest on August 15, 2021 at the Good Sam’s Clearwater Centre in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.

Florence was born in Wakaw, Saskatchewan to Bill and Kathleen Furmanic August 25, 1935 where she was raised on the family farm. She moved to Meskanaw at the age of 17 for her very first job in the Meskanaw café. Florence met and married Joe Cosman, a local farmer in November of 1953. They had two children: Kathy and Warren. The whole family moved to Rocky Mountain House in 1972. Florence had various jobs in Rocky which included bartending in every bar in town and the legion. She befriended just about the entire town during her waitressing years. She also found time to fit in caring for her four grandchildren. Just before retirement, she started a little consignment store (Granny’s Creations) which she operated until 1996. In 2006, she moved to Spruce Grove where she became active in the legion and the farmers market. Her health eventually led her back to the Good Sam’s in Rocky Mountain House.

Florence will be remembered for her love of life and sass. She was much loved and will be missed by all.

Predeceased by husband Joe in 1996, Brothers: Victor, Dean and Dennis; Sister Wilma.

Florence is survived and fondly remembered by her Brother Melvin, Daughter Kathy (Gene), Son Warren (Loree), Grandchildren: Rob, Russell, Lyndsay, Carson; Great grandchildren: Andrew, Quiana, Seth, Payton, Nash, Ryder, Breanne, Tyler, Bayley and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
