A Celebration of Life will be held at The Pond (Wade's pride and joy) on Saturday August 26th at around 1pm. All are welcome to attend, please bring chairs.

For those who don’t know The Pond is located on the North West corner of Range Road 5-2 and Township Road 38-2. The number on the gate is 52020. Directions from Rocky Mountain House are head south on Hwy 11 East, right onto RR 54, left onto TWP 382, left at 52020.

Obituary

Gaetz, Wade
June 30, 1964 – August 17, 2023
Wade Gaetz, 59, of Rocky Mountain House Alberta, passed away of heart disease. Passing peacefully in his sleep on August 17th, 2023.
Wade was born June 30th, 1964. Wade had a passion for explosives and fire having worked for McCaw Drilling and Blasting in the Northwest Territories. His experience with blowing things up, led to his beautiful annual Canada Day firework displays at The Pond where he would also try to create bonfires big enough you could see from space! Not wanting to be tied down to a normal 9-5, Wade had many partnerships with his family in several businesses. Wade was a helpful, hard worker, always eager to help friends and family. He would make easy work of anything when operating heavy machines, but he especially liked to run the back-hoe.
Wade is survived by his daughter Roxanne (Travis) Villeneuve; his grand children: Chasity, Ryder and Alyssa; his mother: Audrey Gaetz; his brothers: Andrew, Jeff and Nick (Louise) Gaetz; many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends. He now joins his father Lorne Gaetz, his sister Lorraine Gallow and infant brother Matthew for "a wee bit of ice cream" in Heaven.

Wade was always such a nice guy he was always polite when I sawhim about saw him a couple months ago maybe and I had over my car overheated in near the gates trailer court and he happened to come by and see if I was okay and as I was waiting he went to his house for a little while and then he came back and brought me an MGD cuz he knew that was a kind of beer I like 2 days later I drank that beer and I think Wade while I was sitting at my little trailer in Nordic he will be missed he was a good guy
