In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walter's name to a charity of your choice.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter; on May 1st in the Rocky Mountain House hospital after a short battle with cancer. His family and friends meant everything to him, and he will be missed greatly!
He is survived by his wife Alice, Son Lyle (Elizabeth), Daughter Lori (Bill) Jans- 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great Grandson.
Brothers Gordon (Pat) and Aurthur (Charmaine). Along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Jerome & Bertha, Brothers Peter, Maurice (Elenor), Glen (Jessie), Jerome (Joyce). Sisters May (Dwight) and Mertle (Ron). Son Randy and sister-in-law Darlene.

Such a great neighbor at the lake. Loved chatting over the fence and seeing his infectious smile. Such a kind hearted soul, very helpful in lending a hand when needed. Loved seeing him fishing with his brother and nephews. He was pretty darn funny too, had many a jokes we laughed at. We weren’t related, but our family called him “Uncle Walt”. We felt his love!! We will cherish our lake memories! Will be remembered, but never forgotten. Condolences to you Alice, you will truly miss your exceptional husband, and to all your extended family!!
