Albert ‘Al’ Leonard Fredrick Schroeder

February 14th, 1951- June 19th, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Albert ‘Al’ Schroeder on June 19th, 2020.

Al is survived by his beautiful daughter Lacey Schroeder, ex-wife Linda Schroeder sisters; Josie (Pete) Calvert, Brenda (Laurent) St Louis, and brother Harold Schroeder, Aunts; Elvira Carlson and Margaret Pike. He also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Al was predeceased by his oldest daughter Sasha Schroeder, and parents Myrtle Webber and Fredrick Schroeder.

Al spent most of his life in the Rocky Mountain House and Rimbey areas. In his working years he worked for many Oilfield Companies such as Hall, Bunch, and Quinn Contracting doing painting and sandblasting. He also had his own professional painting company called The Paint Smith and was well regarded by all the clients he served during his years. Al was also an avid outdoors man. He loved to mountain bike and kayak with his daughter’s. Al spent many snowy days enjoying the ski slopes across Alberta and BC. He also taught his nephew Jordan how to kayak when he was 7 years old. He was always ready to share something he enjoyed with other people. Albert was a loving spirit that made friends every where he went, he was never afraid to strike up a conversation any where he went. Al was also a huge fan of Blues. He collected many records and never missed the jazz on the lake festival. CKUA Radio was always playing in his house and vehicles. He will always be loved and remembered.

A Graveside Service will be held at the West Haven Cemetery, in Rimbey, AB, on July 11th, 2020 at 2:00pm.
