Obituary

It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald James Roycroft
At his home on December 24, 2024, at the age of 66.

Don was born in Calgary where he lived and worked his entire life. He was predeceased by his mother Mabel, his father Donald, stepmother Dawna, stepbrother Bradley and sister Glenda. He is survived by his stepsister Darlene Helmer and family, brother Brian (Fran) and family, and sister Linda Klokeid (Wayne) and family.

Don started work with the Calgary Transit when he was 18, where he worked until his retirement and met many of his lifelong friends! His life was defined by his love of sports, both watching and playing them. His favorites were baseball, curling and especially golf. He was one of the few people on earth to achieve two hole in ones in one golf game at a transit tournament!
He had a myriad of good friends over the years (too numerous to mention them all).

But thanks to his close neighbours and friends Lea, Dianna and Dave for the tremendous support as he battled cancer in his final years. We apologize if we have missed some of you. He had many friends so a sincere thanks to all.
