Schroderus, Eino
1931 -2022
Eino Gunar Schroderus passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on November 14, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on July 12, 1931 in his home at the Bingley farm. He was born 5 minutes before his twin brother Ensio.
Helping and building were Eino's most giving talents. He helped everyone he could. If he couldn't afford it or find it, he would build it. He was the jack of all trades. Eino loved his horses, treated them well, and in his words, little kindness, and bit of sugar is the trick for any horse. In his younger years, he and his twin brother loved participating in many rodeos. After riding horses his next passion was riding his Gold Wing Motorbike. He and Lorraine rode across Western Canada and through the western United States. Another of his memorable moments were his many trips to Finland to visit his family.
He is predeceased by his wife Lorraine, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Eino is survived by his children: Doug, (Amanda), Don (Deb), Cindy, Lane (Barb), Dean, (Deena), Reece (Cindy); numerus grandchildren, great grandchildren, and brother Terry.
He never thought he would live to the age of 91. It must have been the whiskey and the ginger ale. In his words "I'll drink to that."
Thank you to the Poplar Ridge staff of the Red Deer Hamlets for their loving care.
