Alice Lucille Marie Doroshuk
It is with broken hearts we announce the loss of Alice Doroshuk. On August 20th, 2020 she passed from the arms of her adoring husband to the arms of her Saviour in Heaven. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and the Matriarch of her loving family. Her memory will be cherished by her husband Lenard Doroshuk, her children: Dawn Humphrey (Eric), Lenard Jr. Doroshuk (Michelle), and Steven Doroshuk (Stacey); and her grandchildren: Bryce and Ella Humphrey and Donovan and Lily Doroshuk. To her closest loved ones she was “Nama”.
Alice was born July 2nd, 1953 in Steinbach, Manitoba to proud parents Eugene and Lucienne Nicolas where she grew up on a dairy farm with her seven siblings: Lorraine, Louis, Florent, Jeannine, Louise, Omer, and Evelyne. She had a sharp mind and graduated from high school at the young age of 16 before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba to begin her adult life. While in Winnipeg she met her soulmate, best friend, and the love of her life, Lenard, whom she married on her birthday July 2nd, 1977. Alice and Len began life’s journey together in which faith and family would be the highest priority. They moved to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta in 1982 to Pastor a church in which Alice was engaged in various ministries and impacted the lives of thousands of people in Western Canada and beyond.
Alice tirelessly served as a gifted teacher, administrator, writer, and camp director. Most of all she served her family and friends with continual unconditional love and kindness. Alice will be dearly missed and her memory will be held close in our hearts until we see her again in eternal glory.
A private service will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alice’s name to the COGOP Camping Association. E-transfers can be sent to COGOPYC@gmail.com.

I’m so sorry to hear about your wife’s passing. My heart and my prayers go out to you Len, and to your family. It’s been only three months since my own wife, Karen went to heaven. And there were only three words that helped get me through the pain and grieving. They were “I trust God.”

Nathalie Senecal Vickery :
Alice was the most faithful servant I have ever know. Her love for God was a true example to all of us. She was a great Friend, a teacher, and a leader and much more to me. Alice was always there to help in time of hardship and to rejoice in good times. I always could rely on Alice to be just a call away ( never did I think that she wouldn’t be here anymore). Alice did teach us the way but most of all she did walk the path and did teach us mostly by example. Alice you will so greatly be miss.
All my condolences go out to Pastor Lenard, Dawn Dawn, Lenny, and Stevy and the Grand Children.
