Condolences

Rhonda Hamilton McPhail:

The picture you posted makes Uncle George look exactly like Grandad, I never recognized the resemblance before this time. I was so sorry to hear of Uncle George being ill and unfortunately, during a time of quarantine. My Mother, Hazel, would be heartbroken to hear that George has passed. She is the oldest of all and at nearly 96, does not have the memory to enable her to understand this. George was her favorite, as was Jim, Robert, Eddy and Peter! She loved her brothers so very much. She shared George's love of John Deere tractors and to this day, she has the name sign George made her hanging on her door at the Nursing Home, one of her precious possessions she kept with her. I missed seeing Uncle George at our last Family Reunion as I think I had run into town for supplies. I hope we get to see all of you at our next reunion, although this year is out due to the Pandemic. I would truly love to see Billy and Auntie Anne and David again. Thankfully we see Roy each and every year. I will one day make a special visit to the Hespero Cemetary to bring some flowers to Uncle George. I'm sure he'd prefer a fish or something wild like that, but flowers are nicer! It has been many years since I have stopped to visit Grandad and Gramma so I will make it a special outing during this time of quarantine. Love to you all! And I hope you have as many fond memories of our childhood as I do - going on picnics and visiting at the farm.
