Obituary

Linda Lorraine Cinnamon passed away peacefully July 1, 2025, after a brief stay in the Rocky Mtn House hospital with family by her side.
Linda was born in Calgary on March 10, 1951, into a family of 15, To parents Alberta and William Levinsky. To say Linda had many, many brothers and sisters, would be an understatement.
Linda moved to the Frisco area with the family where chores were abundant. They then moved to old town in Rocky Mtn house, where she finished her schooling.
She married her love Bill Cinnamon Sept 18, 1970, they had 3 children Darrell (Vonda), Ken (Jan) and Diana (Stephane), who proliferated very well, allowing Linda to spend countless hours with her 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren and counting.
She loved her family dearly and would never say no if someone asked for help, whether it was making pies, perogies, dry garlic ribs, pickling or helping with grand and great grand children babysitting. She loved her Molly dog and even loved to dog sit. She loved most animals, except chickens, but would look after them if she had to. She also did not like frogs, but she drew the line when the children and grandchildren tormented her with them.
Her passions were spending time with family, camping, playing bingo, watching baseball, cooking and teaching how to cook…...a handful of this, a toss of that, when it feels like this….. and use the spoons God gave you.
Linda is predeceased by husband Billy Cinnamon, parents and several brothers and sisters. Linda is survived by her 3 children and spouses, grandchildren and spouses, great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be held July 17, 2025, 3pm at the Rocky Mountain House Legion.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, donations can be made to Rocky Mountain House Legion Branch #8.

Jada & Family:

Sending the family all our love and prayers! Miss Linda was a huge part of my childhood through Headstart and even continued into my adult life asking me every year how many jars of her famous pickles carrots I wanted at Christmas time. She was also the first one to tell me I was pregnant with my second- she just had that sixth sense!

Our family will always remember you fondly and we think of you often Miss Linda! Rest easy beautiful lady!

Annie Hammell:

Very sorry for your loss condolences to all the families

Mellissa Reis (Duhamel) :

sending so much love to all of you. She always had a way of making you feel special as soon as you seen her, she always greeted me with a big smile and a hug and said heya Missy. she knew I hated being called that but she got away with it. One thing I would say is that she touched so many people’s life even so many little people’s lives, for the many years that she cooked for all of the Headstart kids and the friendship center families, the many heartfelt the conversations by the kitchen or outside having a smoke, she never hesitated to lend an ear, a hug and words of comfort or a good kick in the pants. Much love to everyone, she will be missed. Mellissa & Kiddos

Wanda and Jacques Whitton:

So sad to say goodbye to a dear friend. Linda was a lot of fun and could always take a joke or a prank from us. Rest in peace Linda and enjoy your time now with Billy. Big hugs to all the family!
