They moved to Canada in 1971 and to Rocky Mountain House in 1977. Rupert worked for the Rocky Gas Co-Op as Manager for 29 years. After ‘retirement’, he continued to work part time as an inspector for the Co-op, in a very large area.
Rupert served with the United States Military in active duty from 1961 to 1964 and in reserve from 1964 to 1966. He tied for first place out of 301 people in basic training. He was to be honored in Washington, D.C. this summer, for his service, but was unable to make it.

Aaron Mackay:
Always enjoyed hearing a story or two from Rupert during my time at Rocky Gas Co-op. He would always tell me about some of the strange and goofy things that happened over the past thirty year while in Clearwater county.
He always tried to impart some knowledge whenever we would run into each other and I will always be appreciative of that. He will be missed.
Cinda Montgomery:
At this time of sorrow, may you find comfort in the loving memories of Rupert. Sending strength and peace.
