It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arlene Ella Hammond announce her sudden passing on May 15, 2024, at her home in Rocky Mountain House.
Arlene was born on July 27, 1942, in Rocky Mountain House to Max and Annie Hansel. Her childhood was shared with two brothers: Dean and Steven; and two sisters; Bernice (Meston) and Laurine (McNutt).
Left to mourn her loss are her daughters Selina Hammond and Teresa Penner; son in law Pat Penner, grandsons: Jordan and Jonah (Lisa) Penner; and great grandsons: Ryder and Beckett.
Arlene was predeceased by her loving husband Edward and son Michael.
Our mom loved nature, going on drives to the mountains, tending her numerous flower gardens and most importantly spending time with her family.
Her loving nature and warm heart endeared her to all who knew her.
She was the heart and soul of our family and will be deeply missed.
Service will be held:

Kathy Latta:
My sincere condolences. Auntie Arlene's smile and laugh will stay with us all. One could tell she was a proud and loving mother when she shared a few words about her family. May God's peace be with you all at this time.
Although I am unable to attend the service on Friday my thoughts will be with you.
Rod & Deneen:
Our sympathies go out to Arleneās daughters Selena and Teresa. Along with Teresa, her husband Pat and family Jordan, Jonah & Lisa. Also the cutes two great grandsons on earth.
Lynn Boucher:
I often hear Mom (Fern Watson) and Arlene talking and laughing for an hour or more. It was so uplifting to hear them. Then after Mom passed Arlene and I kept in touch and shared the same hour or hours of laughs. Our last phone call was just over two hours. Neither of us had any special news but we sure enjoyed each others company. She was a special lady and dear friend. I will miss her. Condolences to all the family.
Pat Hammond and Family:
Thinking of Auntie Arlene brings back memories of her beautiful collections, smiles and laughter. She was so welcoming and brought joy to those around her. May the wonderful memories of your Mom provide comfort at this time. Our hearts go out to you always.
Becky Wright :
My deepest sympathy, Auntie Arlene has left an ever lasting imprint on my heart.
Her kindness will not be forgotten, so lucky to have had her in our lives.
My girls referred to her as Snow White with all her animal friends.
