The family of Randy Wearmouth would like to invite their friends and the community to his celebration of life at the Rocky Mountain House Church of the Nazarene on Friday May 27th, 2022 at 2:00 PM.

For those who wish to pay their respects a public viewing will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 4:00 Pm until 8:00 PM.

Obituary


It is with a deep sense of sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Randy K. Wearmouth on May 12, 2022 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 71 years.
Randy was the husband to his love Fe Wearmouth, a father, grandfather and a dear friend to his relatives and those he crossed paths with on his journey of life.
Randy was born in Calgary Alberta to his parents Mildred and Kenneth Wearmouth on March 12, 1951. He was the youngest boy in a family which included three sisters and one brother.

Randy grew up in Calgary where he graduated from Forest Lawn High School.
There he met and married his first wife Linda. Randy went on to SAIT where he completed Power Engineering achieving 2nd Class Power Engineer.
His career path in Operations took him to places such as Balzac, Turner Valley, Fox Creek, Rainbow Lake and Rocky Mountain House where he worked for various large Oil and Gas Companies the likes of Hudson Bay Oil and Gas, Shell, Acquataine, Canterra and Husky Oil/Energy. He transferred from Rainbow Lake to Ram River (Rocky Mountain House) where he assumed the role of Shift Operations Foreman. He was later promoted to Maintenance Superintendent and while in this role held various Leadership Roles in the Field as well as Sulphur Handling for Husky Oil with over 35 years of service.

Randy was an athlete and avid sports fan. From his youth he was an avid swimmer and loved spending time doing laps at the pool. He was a “die hard” supporter of his favorite sports teams such as Calgary Flames, Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Blue Jays. He was also an accomplished Martial Arts student. Randy enjoyed curling and golfing and is one of the few that achieved three “hole in one.” Randy participated in many curling and golf tournaments, his favorites being the Rocky Oilmen’s Tournaments where he was also an active contributor.

Randy is survived by his wife Fe, his sons Shane (Cristina) and Shawn; grandchildren Rhianna(honorary daughter), Randy, Sierra, Jenna, Jesse, Cassie, Jaden, Ashlynn; great grandchild Oaklynn and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Sharon (Eugene), Fe’s sister Sally (Cliff) and members of Linda’s family: Diane (Don), Wendy (Eric), Carol (Gerald) and Marilyn (Chris).

He was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Kenneth Wearmouth; brother Donald; sister’s Patty (Gerry), Gail, Careen (Jim); and step grandson Grant.

A service will be held at the Rocky Mountain House Church of the Nazarene, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on Friday, May 27. 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

My sincerest condolences in the loss of Randy. I was shocked to hear the news. I always enjoyed my visits with Randy and Fe and had planned to come out for a visit as soon as the Covid problem was gone. Randy will be missed. I regret not getting one last visit. Rest In Peace Randy and give Grant a huge hug when you see him!

My condolences to you both Shane and Shawn this news of your dads passing is of a rather shock to me.. I talked to your dad prior when he came through my till at Sobeys.. I will always remember our golf games we had when I was younger and one we had three years ago as practice.. It was always nice to see him when I would be working and we would shoot the shit..
