It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joan Beisal on August 25th, 2024, at the age of 64, with her family by her side. Joan was born January 14th, 1960, in Rimbey, Alberta. She lived out her early years on the family’s homestead by Faraway. Joan later moved to Rimbey for work, and it was here that she met the love of her life, Greg Beisal, and where they were blessed with their first son Clinton. The family moved to an acreage just east of Rocky Mountain House in 1989. The following year their youngest son Riley was born, completing the family.
Joan was a tireless worker; she began a career in banking at the Rimbey Credit Union in the early 1980’s. From here she moved to the Scotiabank in Rocky Mountain House in 1989, and then on to Foothills Livestock as a loans officer, where she was employed for the last 23 years.
Joan’s biggest pride and joy in life was her family. Considered by many to be the “glue” in the family, she loved hosting holiday events, ensuring all family and friends had a place to go to be together on those special days. When she wasn’t working and hosting events, she could be found enjoying her favorite pastime of tending to her many beautiful flowerbeds.
She leaves to mourn her two sons, Clint (Glenda) Beisal and Riley (Shandee) Beisal; grandsons, Camden and Daxtyn Beisal; mother, Betty Taylor; siblings, Jack (Shauna) Taylor and Joyce Johnston. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Murray and Ethel Beisal; sister-in-laws, Debbie Ann (Alan) Anderson, Shannon (Garth) Butcher, Debbie-Sue Beisal, Jody (Gordon) Little, and Jennifer (Shannon) Neitz; brother-in-law, Billy (Kathy) Beisal. Although there are too many nieces and nephews to list, they were all equally loved by Joan.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Greg, father, John Taylor; sisters, Lila (Roy) Johnston, Linda (Hal) Campbell, Jeanie (Terry) Barr; brother, Bill Taylor; nephews, Tyson Taylor, Michiel Butcher; sister-in-law, Lana (John Fournier) Beisal.
There will be a service held for Joan on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 2:00pm at the First Christian Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, funeral contributions can be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice Society.
