Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Axel Stein who passed away peacefully at Rocky Mountain House Hospital on Tuesday April 1, 2025. He led his life with conviction and on his own terms. He worked for Telus Corporation for 32 years; retired in 2010 and lived out in the country close to nature for most of his adult life.
He is predeceased by his mother Carla Stein and his father Joseph Stein, his brother Andre Stein and his son Andre Junior, and his wife Deanna Stein (Moore). He leaves behind his daughter Dazzle Stein of Edmonton and two grandchildren Sixton and Satira, his sister Debbie Stein and her son in California, his brother-in-law Brian Moore (wife Sandra) of Forestburg and their children and grandchildren as well as his brother-in-law, Brent Moore (wife Tammy) of Sherwood Park and their children.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses and health aids and others in Rocky Mountain House for the care and compassion they gave to Axel in his final days.

I had the pleasure of meeting Axel at my place of work where he would visit for lunch regularly, we would exchange our hockey thoughts when he was in from the games that had happened and that were about to happen. His smile and kindness will be missed .
