Obituary

With great sorrow we announce the passing of our mom Beverley (Bev/Bubby) Elaine Bailey, Tuesday August 8, 2023. Beverley was born September 8, 1946 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, the 6th of 8 children, to Ben and Agnes Davies. Raised on the family farm near Rockhaven, Saskatchewan.

Bev married Arnold (Bud) Bailey, November 1965. They resided on the family farm in Rocky Mountain House. There they raised 3 children, where she remained till her passing.

Bev will be deeply missed by her children; Dawn (Kenny) Galay, Dale (Donna Turgeon), and Vincent Bailey. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, not only being major part of their lives, but watching them grow into loving adults: Jason, Jacinda (Mark) Galay, Joshua (Melanie), Jenna (Evan) and Jessa (Jared) Bailey and Miranda Turgeon. Bev truly loved every minute with them. She will be greatly missed by her extended family - she was gramma to them all. She leaves behind her sister Peggy Donison, Shirley Schmidt, Sally Schmidt, and Sharon (Edward) Heilman, sisters-in-law Helen Davies and Dorothy Davies; numerous nieces and nephews.

Bev was predeceased by her husband, Arnold (Bud) in 1999, infant daughter Kathlene in 1970; brothers Stan and David; sister Patty, brothers-in-law Tony, George and Roy; niece Leona, and her parents.

Mom requested there be no service.

Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rocky Mountain House at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Condolence to the family.
When we lose someone we love.

But to live with the love they left behind.

I was sad to learn about the passing of Aunt Bev. I had heard that she was having health issues. She was always cheerful and her letters were full of news about her children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to her.
I am sending my condolences to you all--Dawn, Dale and Vincent and your families. May your happy memories help you through this difficult time.
