It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Laurine McNutt. Mom passed away Jan 14, 2023.
She was born to Annie and Max Hansel on Feb 25, 1938, in Alhambra, AB. She lived and worked in the Rocky area her entire life. She married Bill McNutt in November of 1955 and raised 4 children while working on the farm and helping Bill with his businesses.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Allan (Kathy) McNutt, Laurie (Bruce) Hogberg, Ken (Phyllis) McNutt; grandchildren: Lindsay, Taylor, Jeff, Brandon (Kelsie), Stephanie (Chad), Sara (Derek), Kendra, Mandy (Kirk), Lyndon; great-grandchildren: Laura, Jane, Cohen, Greyson, Sienna, Jay-Lynn, Dawson, Denver; Ryker, McKenna, Brielle; her sister Arlene Hammond, and her sister in law June Hansel.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill, son Randy, parents Annie and Max Hansel, sister Bernice Meston, and her brothers Dean and Steve Hansel.
Mom loved to garden, paint, collect special figurines and lots of other stuff, bargain hunt, and feed anyone who showed up at her house. Her coffee pot was always on.
She was a wonderful mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known to many others as “Ma” or “Gramma Nutt”. Mom will be sadly missed by many but will live on in our hearts forever.
At her request, no service will be held.
