Campbell. Johnnie David
1980 - 2023
Johnnie David Campbell, born June 7th, 1980 in Red Deer Alberta passed away suddenly at the age of 43 years, on the evening of August 16th 2023.
Johnnie is survived by the love of his life, Roberta (Bobbie) Joanne Roper. His children, Sienna (Ryan), Jay-lyn, Dawson, and Denver, Bobbie’s children, Teiran and Raeleen, who completed the family, also survived by his parents, Dwen Campbell and Christine Painter, both of Three Hills Alberta and Bobbie’s parents Bob and Germaine Roper of Caroline Alberta. Johnnies twin sister Jacquelyn (Ryan) Olson and her four children, Madison (Jordan), August (Ava), Charlie, and Jette, brother Scott Painter and his children Adriann, Blake and Shane, Bobbie’s brother Tom Roper and his two children Dani and Lexi. Johnnie has also been loved and will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Johnnie is predeceased by his loving grandparents, Johnnie and Esther (Zeh) Campbell and Alfred and Doris (Layden) Schneider, his step father Gerald Painter and uncle Danny Evans.
Johnnie loved life and people. He always had a smile and hug for everyone. He grew up surrounded by family and friends. He graduated from Trochu Valley School and Trochu Outreach School and continued to achieve his certificates of welding and high-pressure welding. He became a respected member of the welding community and made many, many lifelong friends through his work as a contractor in the oil field and other endeavors. Johnnie loved the farm, from his time with his Grandpa to working with Bobbie and her family, his passion for all areas of farming shone through. Johnnie was a hard worker and will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life will be shared at Caroline Hub in Caroline Alberta. Saturday, August 26th 2023, at 2:00 P.M.

I am so glad that when I saw him earlier in the week when he was in Trochu with his dad I went out to say Hi. He had his usual big smile and we reminisced about The Yale days. I am so shocked and so sad. We lost a really good guy. My heartfelt condolences.
