Carlson, Elvira Evelina

November 7, 1938 ~ November 1, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Elvira Evelina Carlson (Morris), at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 82 years. Elvira was born in Rimbey, Alberta to Emma and Paul Morris along with nine sisters and one brother.

Elvira moved to Rocky Mountain House in the 1970’s and began working at the Ritz Café. She later married her husband Edward Carlson in July of 1978 where they purchased and resided on an acreage just out of town by Cow Lake. Elvira then changed careers and began working at the Rocky Regional Hospital where she later retired. Elvira then came out of retirement and began working at the Good Samaritan Society to be close to Edward when he moved into senior living, and continued to work after the passing of Edward to keep herself young and busy.

Elvira was a kind, warm soul. Her bright smile and generous heart will be missed dearly and by so many.

Elvira is predeceased by husband Edward Carlson (2008) and will be lovingly remembered by her sister Margaret Pike of Rimbey, Alberta and Elvira’s three children: Pauline (Lawrence) Anderson, Daryl (late Jamie) Zelasek, and Christine (Don) Teskey all of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held for Elvira at the Nazarene Church in Rocky Mountain House, AB on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1:00PM. COVID protocols will be in effect.
