Laura “Lynn” Cadrain

July 20, 1965 – March 2, 2021

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Laura “Lynn” Cadrain March 2, 2021 at the age of 55, in Red Deer, Alberta. Lynn was born in Didsbury, Alberta July 20, 1965 the fourth child of John and Eileen Camps.

Later on, the family moved to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where Lynn attended high school, had her children Dustin and Camille and met the love of her life, Hawkeye Cadrain and gained a stepson Mathew.

She adored her three granddaughters Karsyn, Peyton and Tycie Fink and cherished every moment she had with them.

Lynn’s will to live came to be admirable over the years as she faced many struggles that she had overcome. On March 2, 2021, her struggle ended as she was ready to go be with her son that she missed dearly every day for the past 17 years.

Lynn will be dearly missed by so many. She is survived by her husband Hawkeye Cadrain; daughter Camille (Ryan) Fink, their 3 daughters: Karsyn, Peyton, Tycie, Stepson; Mathew and his son Nicolas Olson; her father John Camps; and brothers: Roy and Darrel Camps and their families. She is also survived by a large extended family of brothers and sister in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lynn is predeceased by her son Dustin Cadrain, Mother Eileen, sister Rose Chiernyk and very special friends that were more like her sister and mom: Laurie Woodward and Mary Maxwell.

Due to COVID a small family service will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lynn’s name to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation, as Lynn so hoped to see a cure for her granddaughter Karsyn.
