Lorraine Schroderus of Leslieville, Alberta, passed away at the Rocky Mountain House Hospital on January 19, 2025, at the age of 90. Lorraine was born June 12, 1934, near Leslieville, Alberta. She will be dearly missed by her four children - Karen (Robin) Tolonen, Lorne Schroderus, Julie Schroderus and Loralie (Russell) Mottus, four grandchildren – Ryan (Jana) Tolonen, Courtney (Vance) Nolls, Colton (Alicia) Rowan, and Jessica Schroderus and five great grandchildren – William, Dylan, Vanessa, Harmony and Constance. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis Schroderus, two brothers-in-law – Terry Schroderus and Al Thon, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband John in 2009, her parents Ed and Mary Smith, five brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. In recent times, she loved to watch Christmas movies with Kitty by her side. Lorraine will be remembered for her love of being with her family, her amazing cooking and baking, her sewing and handwork skills, and her flowers and gardens.
Funeral services will be held from the Bethel Union Evangelical Free Church, Leslieville, AB on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
