Obituary

Gloria Adrian
1931-2021

As, Gloria Adrian, age 89, dearly loved mom, grandma, great grandma “GG”, passed away on November 16, 2021, at the Good Sam’s Clearwater Centre; she was kept in love and comfort surrounded by her family.

Margaret Jean Gloria was born December 31, 1931, to her parents Margaret and William Richardson in Lashburn, Saskatchewan. She was their third child. In 1963, Gloria packed up her young daughter Colleen, and moved to Rocky Mountain House, taking a job at the Co-op before moving onto the long-held job with Canada Post. In 1972, Gloria found the love of her life, Elmer Adrian, and they joined their two families.

Gloria loved to be active, where out curling, quad-ding or even snowmobiling, and in the community, she could be found volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Legion Auxiliary Ladies or at the Hardindell Hall, always helping out when help was needed. Gloria loved to get friends together, there was always fun and laughter to be had. In the quiet of home, she enjoyed reading books of life stories and always the newspapers from front to back, always something to be found out.

After Elmer’s passing in 2015, Gloria’s health issues were more apparent, and she was moved into the Clearwater Centre.

Gloria is so loved and missed by her big family, children; Peggy (George) Cross, Colleen Salmon (Barry Hainsworth), Keith (Sandy), Patsy Reid, Evelyn (Miles) Berry, grandchildren; Klark (Niki), Kenda (Dominic) Salmon- Hill, Kalyn, Kelsey Salmon (Mark), Nicole (Dean) Varty, Travis (Caitlyn) Reid, Kathy Adrian (Jason), Shantelle, Bradley (Madison), Janessa Berry, great grandchildren, Victoria, James, Wren, Adeline, Benjamin, Watson, Avery, Charlee and one to be added to the family in February. Sister Patricia Parkyn (Al), brother Bob (Betty) Richardson, numerous nieces and nephews. Also, her devoted caregivers Christine, Maxine and Irish along with many other workers who helped GG.

She is predeceased by her parents Margaret and William, husbands Cecil Fisher and Elmer Adrian, granddaughter Kimberlee, son in law Brian, brothers, Wally Richardson, Ray & Eve Richardson and sister Autumn & Melvin Hall, brother-in-law Charles Parkyn, nephew Kelly Richardson, as well as sister-in-law Bernice and brother-in-law Leo Vanderaa.
