Shannon Nicole Vogels (Nee McRae)
June 9, 1969 – November 4, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shannon Nicole Vogels on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 54 years young.
Shannon was born on June 9, 1969, in Calgary, Alberta. She met the love of her life, Richard Vogels, in 1988 and they were married in 1989 at the Glamorgan Church of Nazarene in Calgary, Alberta. She worked in Oilfield Administration until the birth of their first son Christopher in 1992 followed by their second son Michael in 1995. Shannon enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom until the boys entered school and she went on to work at the Top Hotel. Shannon was head strong and made many friends. She enjoyed socializing, dancing with whoever was willing to keep up with her and watching her kids play hockey. Shannon also traveled whenever possible and enjoyed her trips to Greece, Egypt, Ireland, England, and France.
Shannon is survived by her loving husband Richard; children Christopher and Michael and many other friends and family.
She was predeceased by her brother and mentor: Shawn McRae in 1995; her loving mother: Alexandria (Antonichuk) McRae in 2005; and by her father: Melvin McRae in 2007.

Shannon was a couple of Grades ahead of me at Living Faith Christian School.. i remember 2 things, she was really good volleyball player.. big 80s Hair.. condolences to her family..
