Ames-Smith, Ashley Dawn
May 28, 1991 – July 26, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Ashley Dawn Ames-Smith on July 26, 2019.
Ashley was born on May 28, 1991 in Rocky Mountain House, AB to Ronald Smith Jr. and Cindy Ames. Ashley lived in Rocky Mountain House her whole life. She had worked many different jobs, but she found her place in the oilfield working for DDR Steam & Pressure Washing. Ashley had worked there for 10 years. In 2013, Ashley had found out she was expecting, by late 2014 in August she was blessed with a beautiful baby boy. Keegan Walton joined Ashley on August 15, 2014. That young boy was her life, her world, her everything. There wasn’t a day that went by that she wouldn’t be telling family and friend’s funny stories about what Keegan had done or said.
Ashley will be remembered for her love of baseball, beersbee, flip cup, beer pong and horseback riding as well as for being her all around self.
Ashley will be lovingly remembered by her son Keegan; Mother Cindy and Father Ron (Robyn); Sisters Alexis (Jacey, James), Brittney (Leland, Andrea); Brothers Jordyn and Dawson; Step Sister Rylee; Step Fathers Cory (Tia, Cierra, Stephanie, Skylar) and Joe (Matthew, Jeff); Grandparents Mary Ames, Ron Sr. and Judy Smith; Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and her best friends, Ashleigh (Wife) and many more.
Ashley was predeceased by her grandfather Ron Ames, Great Grandmother Edna Ames, Uncle Billy Ames, Great Grandmother Lola Morrison and Cousin Kenneth Smith.
Ashley’s Funeral Service will be held at the Lou Soppit Community Centre on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm followed by a graveside service at the Pine Grove Cemetery. A gathering will be held afterwards in the evening at the Dale Ames residence for friends and family.

I am so very, very sorry to have learned of this senseless tragedy, which took the, life of your lovely Ashley. They say there is no greater loss than that of one's child. I know this to be true, personally, but I also know that when a child loses his mom at a young age, family, friends, and community must step forward to give this little person all the love, and guidance he will need... And tthat which his mama would want for him.
I keep you, and especially Keegan , in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn Ashley, and find your way forward in the months to come.
Marlene Fandrick Bigelow:
