Obituary

Gordon Ray Fink

November 7, 1940- October 22, 2021

Our funny, big loveable husband, father grandfather, Gordon Ray Fink passed away on October 22, with his family by his side. He will be dearly missed by all that were fortunate enough to had spent time with him.

Gordon was born on November 7,1940, in Drumheller, Ab, a fourth son to Ida and Buster Fink, with 3 more sons to follow. Mom Ida had her hands full. Not long after he was born, the family moved west of Rocky Mountain House, where the boys were raised on the homestead, where both of Gordon’s parents lived until their passing. The boys all had many chores and Gordon was in charge of the hogs. If you gave Gordon, a task he did it extremely well. As a young boy, Gordon first job was at Atlas Lumber Company, loading box cars with railway ties. Throughout his life he worked at many different jobs until he retired at 65.

Gordon married Hellen Darlene Speight on October 7, 1961 and moved to an acreage in the Cow Creek area where they raised 3 sons and a daughter, and where Helen still resides.

Gordon will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Helen, sons; Terry (Jinny), Rick (Cindy), Stuart (Michelle) and daughter Trena (Richard) Goudie, grandchildren; Tanya (Morgan), Christie, Troy, April (Don), Brendan, Austin, Taneal and Bryn. Also left to mourn him are his brothers; Bill (Dorothy), Allen (Helen), Arnold (Dorothy), Dale Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements, 403 845 2626

(Sheila); sisters in law; Kathy Fink, Audrey (Bernie) Bensmiller, Betty Raivio (Bert) and brother-in-law Ross Graham, as well as numerous nieces, nephew, and many friends.

He was predeceased by two grandsons; Adam and Cody, brothers; Jim, Melvin, and baby Terrance, brother-in-law; Clarence Raivio, and sisters- in- law Marion Fink and Dorothy Graham, nephew; Larry Fink and niece; Kelly Friesen.
