Lowry, Blake Howard

1995 - 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Blake Lowry announces his passing on May 24, 2020 in Caroline, AB at the age of 25.

Blake Howard Lowry was born April 9, 1995 in Calgary, AB weighing less then 2 lbs. Blake was loved by all who knew him and was known for his “just f’n giver” attitude, his great sense of humor and his contagious laugh. Blake went to school in Rocky Mtn. House and Caroline where he played hockey and football. His teachers and coaches will never forget “Blake.” Blake loved working; he had a variety of skill sets from working in the sawmill, oilfield work, farming and in the restaurant. Blake loved biking, triking, demolition derby’s and rodeos. One of Blake’s big highlights was travelling across Canada with The Hansen family. He always needed to keep busy and would help anyone. Blake would try and do anything with a smile on his face.

Blake is survived by his father Dustan Lowry (Jocelyn) and mother Coral Barnes; his brothers Jessie (Lorraine), Dylan (Taija), and Braydon; his sister Graice; Grandmothers Marlene (John), Marilyn and Audrey; Grandfather Gord; Uncles Bill (Sabrina) and Dawson (Tina); nephews Jase, Carter and Jaxon; cousins Justis (Kirsten), Danika, Dayton, Lane and Lexie and numerous extended family and friends. Blake is predeceased by his Grandfathers Doug, Bud and Marvin.

The family would like to thank the Rocky Funeral Home, the RCMP and Victim Services. Words are inadequate in expressing our gratitude for all the expressions of comfort and sympathy to our family and friends.

Due to Covid, a memorial for Blake will be held at a later date. If so desired expressions of sympathy can be made in memory of Blake to our local Victim Services.

I didn’t know Blake as well as others but our paths have definitely crossed multiple times. I remember babysitting with my cousin Jessie in the summer and building forts out of anything and everything we could. Anytime our paths have crossed Blake was kind and so helpful, he displayed in his actions that he would go to the ends of the earth for someone if they needed it. He expected little in return just kindness and love. Sorry for your loss, the skies have gained a big bright star.

Bunne vanwart:
