  Funeral services will be held from the Tees Community Hall with an inurnment to follow at the Tees Cemetery East. With the restricts due to Covid gatherings, the family will only be able to gather to celebrate Ross’s life.

MILLER, Ross Alexander Frederick

August 28,1931 -October 17,2021

Ross Miller, beloved husband of Gladys Miller passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the Rocky Mountain House Hospital on October 17, 2021.

Ross Alexander was born August 28, 1931, in Hanna, Alberta; the first born to proud parents Dorothy and Fred Miller, and 10 more siblings filled their family home for years after.

He was a graduate of the Hanna High School where he studied mechanics. His first employment was the Independent Creamery in Hanna where he met his first wife Gwyneth, and whom he married October 4, 1953.

He went from being a milk deliveryman to a heavy equipment operator, employed by Mannix and then by the County of Lacombe as a patrol operator, until he retired. Resided in all the prairie provinces but spent the bulk of his life residing in Tees, Alberta. Ross enjoyed a golf game or two, played on the slow pitch ball team, bowling, playing cards, enjoyed gardening but his greatest passion was horses.

After his retirement he moved to Lacombe, to be with his wife Gladys, they were married on July 27, 1996. When they were unable to maintain their home, they then moved to Red Deer, and their final home being in Rocky Mountain House.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife Gladys, his son Robert (Marsha) of Ponoka, his daughters Brenda Lee, and Catherine (Gordon) of Tees, grandchildren; Dan (Amy) Sim, Alex and Michelle Miller, Nick (Kate)Vogel, great grandchildren Jace, Mya and Kade Sim, Wyatt, Weston and Rowan Vogel.

Gladys ‘s daughters, Diane (Gordon) Flinn of Rocky Mountain House, Janice (Gary) Gill of Winfield, Cathy (Lyle) Miller of Dunmore, and their families. Ross’s remaining siblings; Joan (George) Bowes of Red Deer, Gordon (Kathy) Miller of Sicamous, BC, Shirley (Gordon) Robertson of Hanna, Margery (Stanley) Moench of Handhills, sisters-in-law Linda and June Miller of Hanna , Gwladys Schmidt of Ponoka numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ross was predeceased by his wife of 41 years Gwyneth, infant son Thomas, grandchildren Gary Sim, Amy Miller, son-in-law Garry Bailey, brothers Bruce, Ron, Billy, Jimmy, and Gary, sister Jeanie, parents Fred and Dorothy Miller, in laws James and Catherine Morris, Robert and Shirley Morris, Monty and June Morris, nephews Doug Boettcher, and Rick Schmidt.
