Obituary

Flick, Bailey Nicole
1995-2021
A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, girlfriend, niece, cousin, and friend, Bailey Nicole Flick left this world suddenly at the age of 26 on July 12, 2021. Born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on March 7, 1995 to Dan and Tammy Flick (Clauson). Bailey grew up in Rocky Mountain House where she attended St. Matthew Elementary School and West Central High School where she graduated in 2013.
Bailey completed the Lab Assistant program through Red Deer College in 2017 and went on to work at the Red Deer Regional Hospital until 2019 when she went back to school to follow in her mother’s footsteps and pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She graduated from the Practical Nursing Program in 2021. She recently got her first nursing job at the Ponoka Centennial Center and was just finishing orientation.
Bailey was a spunky Pisces who blessed us with a life full of happiness, joy, much love, and laughter. Everyone that met her was touched by her kindness, generosity, love for life, and cheeky sense of humor. Bailey was the most caring and compassionate person who loved to have fun. Her quick wit was second to none. Her values carried her with dignity and strength through adversity. She was passionate about anything she put her mind to.
Bailey was a lover of all things Justin Bieber. She organized many “Bieber days”, attended every Bieber concert she could get to, even planned to attend one in the country music capital of the world, Nashville. In high school Bailey even had a cat that she named Bieber.
Anyone who knew Bailey knew she was also a lover of all things pink. Everything in her world was pink. She was so proud of her hot pink stethoscope that she purchased while attending nursing school.
If you ever wanted to know anything about astrology and compatibility charts and even if you didn’t, Bailey was your girl, and she would tell you something new about yourself everytime you talked to her based on your astrological sign.
She was a true crime fanatic. When not reading books about true crime, she spent her time watching shows and movies always curious about how the mind worked. So, it was no surprise that Bailey’s passion in nursing was in mental health. To listen to her talk about it you knew that is where she was meant to be. She was so excited to be starting her new job in Ponoka.
Bailey had a true, genuine soul. She never wanted to see anyone left out or bullied in any way. She was the first one to come to the rescue even from a very early age. At 4 years old she witnessed a friend of hers being bullied by a much older boy. She marched over with her hands on her hips and chewed him out until he finally cowered and rode away on his bike. We received a message from one of her elementary school friends the other day who told me that Bailey was one of the best friends she could have had all those years ago. She was having a hard time dealing with some bullying and Bailey was the only person who stuck by her side and got her through.
Bailey was predeceased by her father, Dan Flick.
She leaves to mourn her Mother, Tammy Clauson; Sister Brittany Lyon (Matthew); Grandparents Lloyd & Judy Clauson and Clifford & Margaret Flick; significant other, Sheldon Ames; Aunts and Uncles, Darrin and Joanne Clauson and Randy and Sherrie Flick; Cousins Eric Clauson, Alyssa Clauson, Adam Flick (Tenille), April Eaton (Joey), Jaren Flick, Dannie Eaton, Griffin Eaton, and her beloved fur babies, Leo, Ava, Moki, and Bruce, as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

We will always remember her infectious smile that would light up your soul, caring personality, unforgettable dimples, and her beautiful spirit. When you think of Bailey, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and should be lived to the fullest.

A celebration of life will be held 2021 at the Lou Soppit Community Center, Rocky Mountain House at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20,2021. Lunch to follow.

Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta
