It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, and grandfather Rodger Victor Garvie on Tuesday November 5, 2024, at Red Deer Hospital.
Rodger and Debbie moved to Rocky Mountain House in November 2021. Rodger was an outdoors man and loved hunting. Debbie loves wild horses and they both enjoyed watching the rodeos.
Rodger will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving wife of 50 years Debbie of Rocky Mountain House; his son Glenn (Brenda) and granddaughter Hope Garvie of Calgary; his daughter Jodi-Lynn Garvie (Trevor) and grandchildren Ethan and Haley Pennington from St. Catharine’s; sisters Bonnie (Gord) Potentier of Cambridge and Delores Higgins of Sudbury, Ontario; and his many nieces and nephews.
Rodger is predeceased by his parents Eva and Victor Garvie; his uncle “Butch” Glenn Yates; and sisters Leora & Darrel and brother Allan.
In lieu of flowers donations to an animal rescue or Alberta Wildfires would be greatly appreciated.
Condolences may be forwarded to www.rockyfuneralhome.ca.

Delores Higgins:
My little brother left too soon. While playing a family baseball game, he always said he was the better player…… and I guess he was right. This time he did get “home” before me and got to see Lee again. Rest in peace Rod… save me a place in Heaven.
My condolences to Deb, Glenn, Jodi and grand kids.
Love always… Delores, Sandra, Darlene and Lori.
Jodi Garvie:
Missing you soooo much already pops
I love ya. Xo
