Kirk Alwyn Bagstad

June 16, 1970 – January 10, 2020

Kirk Alwyn Bagstad of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, passed away on January 10, 2020 at the age of 49 Years.

Kirk was born at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on June 16, 1970 to Melody (Austad) and Gary Bagstad.

Kirk attended school in Rocky Mountain House and went on to further his studies at Mount Royal College, Calgary, finishing his schooling at SAIT. He went on to become a Journeyman Welder and then a Weld Inspector.

Kirk enjoyed many activities that gave him a thrill. Riding his bike all over town in his younger years and then onto various other activities he enjoyed with his big circle of friends, including fishing, camping, hockey, baseball, skydiving, cliff jumping, parasailing and rollercoasters, he was also an avid downhill skier and was a member of the ski team. Kirk was so excited when his boys were finally old enough to accompany him in these adventures.

Kirk is survived by his one love; Tansy Coes and their two sons: Kehler and Kooper Bagstad; his parents: Melody and Gary Bagstad; and his sister Jodie Mason (Cameron), all of Rocky Mountain House, he is also survived by his Grandmother June Jensen of B.C. and his honorary baby sister Kirstin Austad-Ball (Chris). Kirk is lovingly remembered and survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews. As always, Kirk will be remembered by a large group of friends, both young and old.

Kirk was predeceased by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents, many maternal and paternal aunts and uncles and a few very special friends.

A Celebration of Kirk’s Life will be held at the Lou Soppit Community Centre in Rocky Mountain House, on January 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky mountain Crematorium.
