Obituary

We bid farewell to Larry Oliver Barrett that passed on September 4, 2024, at the age of 90 years.
Larry was born to Gretchen and Oliver Barrett on March 25, 1934, in Alhambra, Alberta. He grew up loving the outdoors; being in nature, fishing and appreciating his surroundings. His outdoor attitude persisted into his working years, a majority of it in Forestry doing tree falling and tree transplanting. Larry was a true outdoorsman at heart and loved a good western too.
He his survived by his wife Angela; Children: Patty, Victoria, Krystal, Terra, Dan, David, Shaun, Jeff, Rod and Darren; Siblings: Fred and Linda, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Gretchen and Oliver and his sister Marion.
A Memorial Service for Larry will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
Donations in Larry’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada.
