Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather.
Maurice John Elcocks on June 20, 2024 at the age of 84, in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Maurice was born in Coventry, England and migrated to Canada on February 25, 1965.

The family would like to thank the staff at clearwater centre in Rocky Mountain House for their amazing care that they gave to Maurice in this time of need. They went above and beyond and were so kind, caring and compassionate. Maurice ‘s family were so very impressed with every single staff member.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife Sandra; two sons David, (Kellie), Stephen (Natasha) and three grandchildren Hayley, Dawson and Jaydon.

To Moe's family
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Moe and I were partners in the General Investigation Section of the Calgary Police Force. We both enjoyed hunting and fishing and Chinese food and spent a lot of time talking about our hobbies. I was with Moe when he bargained for pack saddles, saddle guns, stock trailers and a Tipi. Moe was a good cop, but I know he longed for retirement and a simpler life away from the City. I only saw Moe once after his retirement. He was in Calgary and telephoned me and later we met for breakfast at the Carriage House. Moe was a bit grouchy about our pension's claw back, but he seemed very content with his home near Buck Lake. Just last Sunday and Monday we visited Rock Mountain House and I thought about Moe and mentioned him to my wife. I read of his passing shortly after we got home. All the best! Ed
