Obituary

Orville Lloyd Kittelson
December 17, 1939 - December 11, 2022
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Orville was born in Torquay, Saskatchewan to Olianna (Solberg) and Oscar Kittelson. He grew up in the Torquay area with his sisters Doris, Lois, Anita and brother Lloyd.
In 1959 at a town dance he met the love of his life, Adela Zimmerman. They were married in 1961 (celebrating 61 years of marriage this past summer!)
They were blessed with children, Melanie, Byron, Vince (Janet), Trent (Holly), Craig (Erika) and Sharon. He was an amazing grandfather to 9 grandchildren Eric, Lauren, Jakob, Haley, Logan, Marcus, Julia, Erin and Colin.
Orville was predeceased by his children Melanie and Byron; sister Doris.

Orville had a large extended family that he loved spending time with.

Orville will be missed, but we are finding comfort in the thoughts that Orville has been reunited in Heaven with many family members and friends who have passed before him.

Services will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Prayers will be on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00am
Memorial donations in Orville’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Rocky Mountain House Hospital Auxiliary or donors’ choice.

Adela and Family I'm so sorry to hear of Orville's passing, I had the pleasure of working with Orville from his Amarada Days in the early 90's throughout his Devon Days up to 2014, and at one period for 7yrs almost everyday and became very good friends, I always looked up to and respected Orville as a Boss as well as a Great Family Man, who taught me many things Work and Family related, he was like a walking encyclopedia of knowledge that not only did he share making Me a better person but with many others as well, his wisdom will carry on in the many people that were lucky enough to have spent any amount of time with him, he will be dearly missed and always remembered as a true Family Man, Friend, and Co-Worker.

Marliss and Justin Cartier:

Our deepest sympathies Adela and family. Orville always has a smile and kind words to say every time we saw him. He was a wonderful man.
