  A Graveside Service will be held from the Pine Grove Cemetery for Ken’s immediate family.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date when we can all gather safely.

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Kenneth Robert Olmstead on October 26, 2021.

Ken was born on April 11, 1943, to Hazel and Richard Olmstead. Ken married the love of his life, Margaret on December 14, 1963. In 1973, Ken and Margaret moved the family to the farm in Rocky Mountain House, where they raised their family.

Ken is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 58 years, children: Ken (Dannette), Kathy (Cam), Lorrie and Kevin (Dianne); grandchildren: Greg (Lindsey), Tyler, Justin, Jennifer (Kyle), Ryan (Taylor), Paige (Justin), Cody (Savannah), and Kurtis; great grandchildren: Ali, Lane, Bria and Hazel. Ken’s siblings: brothers: Dick (Camie), and Stan (Sandra), sisters: Sylvia (Berry), Sherri (Rob); sisters-in-law: Bev (Doug), Audrey, Val (Dougall), Arlane (Ken), brothers-in-law; Clarence (Yvonne), and Raymond (Heather), as wells as numerous relatives and friends that were like family.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Jessica and son-in-law Kevin Doyle.

A Graveside Service will be held from the Pine Grove Cemetery for Ken’s immediate family.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date when we can all gather safely.

We are saddened to hear of the passing away of Ken’s father. We met Kenneth and Margaret while visiting Ken and Danette there at the farm. We felt as part of the family the little time we knew them. Our condolences to you Margaret and to your family. I understand you were in hospital yourself Margaret so you will not be too well, take care of yourself. Again our sympathy to you Ken. This is a really nice picture of your Dad! I didn’t realize he was as country looking as that!
