Ronald Francis Lecerf of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta passed away on July 30th, 2022 at the age of 90. Carol, his loving wife of 31 years, was by his side. Ron was born July 11, 1932 at Condor, Alberta to Elizabeth (Hoven) and Jacques Lecerf and was raised in the Evergreen Area.
Ron and Constance Shepherd were married in 1953 and were blessed with three sons Robert, Michael, and Shawn.
Work for Ron started at a young age in the oil patch. Ron then owned and operated Ron Lecerf & Sons Trucking and Excavating for 30+ years. From 1996 – 2005 Ron and Carol owned and operated the Stationery and Copy Den. In 2005 Ron and Carol purchased a farm, which was his passion, to work with horses, cattle and haying.
Ron was well known for always having an open door and heart. He loved dancing, camping with his big bonfires, snowmobiling and horseback riding. He also loved travelling to such places as the Yukon, NWT, Alaska, South Dakota, Hawaii, Mexico and Arizona. Woodworking become one of Ron’s favorite pastimes, were he created keepsakes for those he loved.
Leaving to mourn are his wife, Carol; son Michael (Wendy); grandchildren: Nathan (Jessica), Mac (Stacy), Danielle, Shawna (Rob); Great grandchildren: Zachery (Brittany), Brodrick, Sophia, Luke, Cade and Emery; his siblings: Anne, Jim, Louis, Beth and families; stepchildren: Ron, Kevin, Debbie and families; plus, several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Ron had the unwavering love and support of Mark, Vaughn and Roxanne, Quinn and Donna, and Vern
Ron was predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Lizzie, sons Robert and Shawn, siblings Philip, Helen, Jacquie, Leon and grandson Ty.
Ron will be remembered as a man who worked hard and played hard. At Ron’s request there will be no service. He will be interred at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery.
