December 1956 - December 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joseph LaRose on December 3, 2023, at the Rocky Regional Hospital.
Joseph was born on December 26, 1956, in Stettler, Alberta and was the oldest of 5 children born to George and Val LaRose. Joseph attended elementary as well as high school in Edmonton, Alberta. Upon Graduation Joseph moved to the Northwest Territories and that is where he attended college to begin a career in Fish and Wildlife.
He worked in Baker Lake as a fish and wildlife officer and then in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. It was in Yellowknife where he met the love of his life Ursula Wuethrick through a mutual friend on March 12, 1992. Joseph and Ursula enjoyed playing crib when Joe was not outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, as well as camping. Joseph had quit the green thumb and could be found outside attending to his gardens.
Joseph leaves to mourn his wife Ursula; daughter Lianne; grandson Riley; brothers: Steve, Bruce (Vera), Lorne.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents George and Val LaRose; Sister Kathy Sprool; and daughter Melissa LaRose.
A celebration of life for Joseph will be held June 22, 2024 at Jack Fish Highway 11 West of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Everyone is welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care unit, Rocky Mountain Regional Hospital, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
