A memorial service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held in late spring or early summer 2026 in Rocky Mountain House. Details will be announced at a later date.
It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Williams announces her passing on October 28, 2025, at the age of 76.
Marilyn was born on April 6, 1949, in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, to Maida Fournier and Alastair (“Sandy”) McKenzie. She grew up in Rocky Mountain House alongside her five siblings and spent much of her younger life there. Although she lived in various places over the years, Marilyn eventually returned to her hometown, where her heart always belonged.
Marilyn will be remembered as a unique and spirited individual—sassy, strong-willed, and kindhearted. She was always willing to help others and made a lasting impression in one way or another on everyone she met.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Tamara (Ben) Borley and Kelsey Williams (Mike Galay); grandchildren Bo [Ben], Damian, Jayce Borley, Jordyn, Dion, and Brooke Galay; great-granddaughter Lilly-Anne Closs; and her "adopted" son Greg Adams. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, extended family members, and numerous friends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her mother Maida Fournier, stepfather Fred Fournier, father Alastair McKenzie, sister Marjory Klassen, and brothers Bruce, Brian, Barry, and Robert (Bob) McKenzie.
A memorial service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held in late spring or early summer 2026 in Rocky Mountain House. Details will be announced at a later date.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
