Nick was born in Primula, Alberta to Mary and Nicholas Kalynchuk on April 28, 1941.
Nick grew up on a farm near Heinsberg, AB. He loved being outdoors trapping & fishing.
At age 16, Nick left home to go logging.
Later he went mining, had his own trucking company and worked on the oil patch. He called himself a “roamer”. Nick lived many years in Whitehorse, Yukon then settled in Beaverlodge, AB. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, quadding, working on anything mechanical, welding & carpentry plus loved country music.
Nick & Janis met in 2013, lived in Lethbridge until they bought their dream acreage in 2016 near Leslieville, AB. Together they enjoyed exploring the country sides and going to tractor pulls.
Survived by: his loving wife Janis “Janna”, Siblings: Alice, John, Margaret, Helen, Ron, Jerry,
Ester, Ernie, Linda, & Rick plus, their spouses and families; his nephew Derek and his family;
Numerous other nieces and nephews & their families. Nick was also survived by Janis’s family:
daughters Amber& family, Andrea and family; her mom Donna and brothers: Greg Blaine, Neil & Matthew, and their families.
Predeceased by his parents Mary and Nicholas, brothers: Fred, Alex & Albert and Janis’s dad Lloyd.

Nick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
