Elizabeth ‘Darlene’ Muhlbeier
September 10, 1956 -November 12, 2022

Darlene Muhlbeier passed away on November 12, 2022, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 66 years.

Elizabeth “Darlene” was born in Olds, AB to parents Florence and Chester Vollmin, being raised in the Sundre area. She met and married her love James “Jim” Muhlbeier in 1978. They moved to Vermillion, then to Rocky Mountain House in 1988. Darlene worked for a number of years with Rocky Support Services, before a few car accidents, made it better for her to be around home, helping Jim with projects. When they were able, they enjoyed riding horses and taking pack trips, camping, fishing and having fun with grandchildren in Struble lake and Swan creek below the farmhouse and lately growing her loved tomatoes for canning, and sharing, as well as other vegetables in the raised beds or hot house.

Darlene is survived by her husband James “Jim”; children, Tammy, Crystal (Dale) Tucker, and Alex (Jen); grandchildren: Elexia, Brooklynn, Brooklynn, Ava, Neveah, Jaxon, and Cohen; siblings Sharon (Ron) Betty, Ronald (Gloria), Gwen (Mel), Leo (Sue), Wayne (Marie) and Murray (Michelle) and numerous nieces and nephews; lots of extended family on Jim’s side.

She is predeceased by her parents, niece Patricia and brother-in-law Dale.

A Funeral Service for Darlene was held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on November 21, 2022, at 1 PM. Interment took place at the Pine Grove Cemetery.

I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. I got to know Darlene when I worked at the Co-op she was a wonderful lady with a lot of spunk. Everytime we seen each other we would stand and chat for 15-20 minutes. Once again my condolences go out to the family
