Ellertson, Stanley Joseph

August 17, 1946 – September 24, 2019

Stan passed away suddenly at the age of 73 years in his home town of Rocky Mountain House.

Stan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter Lori; son Jim; Daughter-in-law Shawna; brother Harold; sisters: Mary-Ann (Gary), Doreen, and Karen (Joe); granddaughters Taylee and Samantha and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his father Harry; mother Esther; brothers; Albert and James; and sister Irene.

Stan excelled at his jobs of Heavy Equipment Operating and Truck driving, but was most content at home in his yard and work shop. Stan enjoyed camping and fishing, he was always up for a drive to the mountains or to visit with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to country classic music and reading western pocket books. He also enjoyed inventing things to make his life easier from scraps of really nothing, but his homemade devices always worked for him.

Stan was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all his family Carol, Lori and Jim.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family only. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium.
