Obituary

Kathleen Anne "Katie" Anderson (Shannon), age 61, passed away on June 19, 2025, in Caroline, Alberta, Canada.

Born on April 16, 1964, in San Francisco, California, Katie brought warmth and vitality into the lives of those around her. Her adventurous spirit and fun-loving nature were hallmarks of her personality, and she embraced life with a joyful heart and an open mind.

Katie found her greatest happiness in the outdoors. Whether camping under the stars or exploring nature’s beauty, she cherished every moment spent outside. These experiences were made even more meaningful when shared with her family and friends—her true source of joy.

Katie was a beloved School Bus Driver for over 20 years and truly enjoyed her career. She left a lasting impact on all the children, parents, teachers and coworkers that she met along the way as she would greet everyone on her bus with a beautiful, genuine smile. Having recently retired, Katie got to live her longtime dream of RV living and traveling with her cherished dog Zoey.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Michelle (Glen) and Stephen (Becki), and her cherished granddaughters Avarose and Amelia. Katie also leaves behind her brothers Mike (Rose) and Steve, as well as her sister Christine. Katie will also be missed by many great friends that she cherished deeply.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Allen, her grandson Stetson, her mother Jeanne, and her father John.

Katie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy of laughter, adventure, and love for family continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in her journey. She may be gone far too soon but will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held this summer - date to be announced.

I didn't get to be Katie's next door neighbor for as long as I had hoped. I do miss having her here. She was a pleasure to get to know and it didn't take long for us to become friends. Katie and Zoey were a nice part of my day, every day. They made me smile. They were a team . ❤️
