Mason, Randy Lee
1950 - 2024
Randy Lee Mason, age 73, passed away on January 6, 2024, in his home in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Randy was born October 8, 1950 in Nordegg Alberta to Tom and Mary Mason. He was a plant worker and equipment operator until the day he retired where he then tried to spend every minute fishing. Aside from Randy’s love of fishing and fine motor skills operating equipment, he was an advanced skill level crib player and even managed to get a 29 hand. Randy was a very giving man and would literally give you the shirt off his back or one of his extra vehicle’s sitting in the yard if you broke down on the highway and needed a car. Story telling of the old days was also one of Randy’s favorite past times and through his memory’s history will live on. Randy will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to cross his path.
Randy is survived by his children; Kimberly Ellert, Linnea Thompson, Jamie Rollings (Dave Rollings) Nicole Pelletier (Rob Pelletier), and Riley Mason (Trish Mason). His grandchildren; Jake and Dalyce Ellert, Lee Ellert, Janelle and Craig, Austin Thompson, Mason Rollings, Joseph, Tayden and Raya Pelletier and Sophie Mason and 5 great grand children. He is also survived by his brothers Bob (Rogette) Mason and Wayne Mason.
Randy was predeceased by his siblings; Ruth, Kenny, Phylis, Darlene, Rick, Barry, Teddy, and Keith.
Funeral services to be held on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at the Leslieville Hall, Leslieville, Alberta at 1:00 pm.
