Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Marlen Olmstead on June 23, 2025.
Margaret was born on March 3, 1946, to Joyce and Ted Lelond.

Margaret married the love of her life, Ken, on December 14th, 1963. In 1973 Ken and Margaret moved the family to the farm in Rocky Mountain House, where they raised their family. Margaret is survived by their children: Ken (Danette), Kathy (Cam), Lorrie and Kevin (Dianne); Grandchildren: Greg, Tyler, Justin, Jennifer (Kyle), Ryan (Taylor), Paige (Justin), Cody (Savannah), and Kurtis; Great Grandchildren: Ali, Lane, Bria, Hazel, Troy, Donovan, Thomas, and Londyn; Siblings: Bev (Doug), Clarence (Yvonne), Audrey (Don), Val (Dougall), Arlane (Ken), and Raymond (Heather); Brother-in-law Stan (Sandra), Sisters-in-law: Camie, Sylvia (Berry), Sherri (Rob) as well as numerous relatives and friends that were like family.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Ken of 58 years, granddaughter Jessica, son-in-law Kevin and brother-in-law Dick.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at the Everdell Community Hall on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
