Obituary

Howard Blair Brososky went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early on the morning of February 19th, 2026, two years after a cancer diagnosis. Howard was born September 29th, 1965, in Barrhead, AB. At 28 days old he was adopted by Allan and Joy Brososky, who lovingly welcomed him into their home and family. He lived the first 4 years of his life at Eckville, after which Joy and Allan moved to Fort MacMurray where they lived for 8 years. In 1978 the family moved back home to Leslieville, AB. From then on Howard grew up with the Bott and Pattison cousins. After graduating from DTHS, he went to SAIT to become an electrician.
In 1988, Howard married Nancy Rowley and moved to Black Diamond, AB where they started their family and lived for the first 6 years of their marriage. In 1994, they moved back to the family farm in Leslieville where they continued to build their family. The value of the closeness of Howard’s family and community was not lost on him, and though he was not always overly expressive, he loved spending quality time with his family and watching it continue to grow. He will be missed as a husband, father, ‘Pops’, and friend.
Howard’s life was transformed in 2014 when he chose to completely surrender his life to the lordship of Jesus. From then on, he devoted his time and energy to the study of scripture and participation in the Body of Christ. Howard will be missed as a valued leader in the Leslieville Bethel Union Church, where he served as a deacon and elder there over the past twelve years, and was respected by many as an example of godliness and maturity. Until his last day, Howard’s greatest desire and prayer was that by knowing him others would realize the depths of love, mercy, and grace that Jesus has for them, and claim Christ as their own savior too. He deeply cherished the relationships of his church family.
Howard is survived by his wife, Nancy, their kids: Ethan and Shallyn Brososky, Amy and Travis Rhoads, Angi and Michael Vos, Will Brososky, Mike and Ayden Brososky, and Tanner Brososky, as well as his grandkids: Niall, Kian, Navie, and Talia Brososky. His parents Allan and Joy Brososky, sister Debra Brososky, and brothers Blain Brososky and Eldon Cardinal, his father-in-law, Bill Rowley, and family; as well as countless cherished relatives, friends, and family in Christ. He is predeceased by beloved mother-in-law, Dorothy Rowley.
A service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church in Rocky Mountain House on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at 1pm.

Dawson and Devon Frayn :

We remember Howard well and how great of a father he was to Mike and his siblings. We remember the softball games, the volley ball games, and basketball games over the years, and Howard was always either involved or was there watching.

Being apart of a tight knit community is a special thing and you get to know those that are in it quite well. We can easily say that Howard was an important part of the community, was well loved, and will be forever missed. His legacy will go on though through his family, his generosity, and the impact he left on the community.

Our condolences to the Brososky family. We will be praying for you all during this difficult time.
