May 16, 1949 - Jan 25, 2026
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jackie at the age of 76 years on January 25, 2026, at the Red Deer Hospice after a long battle with Lung Cancer.
Mom I am so proud of you, all your courage you fought till the end and you gave it your all.
Jackie was born in Dieppe New Brunswick on May 16, 1949.
The daughter of Emma (Annie) Leblanc Cormier and Claudius Cormier.
Most of Jackie’s career she worked as a Health Care Aide which she loved. She was kind, gentle, compassionate and had the biggest heart.
While living in Alberta she took pride working at Tim Horton’s on Gasoline Alley until her retirement. She then moved to Pacquet, Newfoundland where she extremely enjoyed the fresh air, the beautiful view of the sea and mother nature around her.
This was her second home where she made forever friends.
She enjoyed the outdoors listening to the birds singing while enjoying her puzzles; loved sitting on the front deck looking at the flowers, birds, deer, squirrels, bees and especially the butterflies. Always had a smile and a good sense of humor.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Denise Allain Leblanc (Everett),
her son Claude (Julie) Allain; granddaughters Jessica Allain and Caitlyn (Andrew) Hanning (USA); and a great grandniece Everly Hanning; her husband Eric Henwood;
stepdaughter Diana Henwood (Saskatchewan); stepson Vincent (Kelly) Henwood;
granddaughters Brooklynn and Rhernna Henwood (Alberta).
She also leaves a sister Florence Carter from Riverview, N.B.
Predeceased by sisters Jeannine (Eric) Gautreau, Helene Eagan; brothers Leo (Irma) LeBlanc, Jean-Paul (Carol) Cormier
and two babies 6 months one at birth.
