Obituary
Russell Gene Shearer, born March 25, 1955, in Kelowna, British Columbia, passed away peacefully in Rocky February 27, 2026. He was born to parents Wanda and Gordon Shearer.
Russ lived a quiet and independent life. He was known as a reclusive man who preferred the simplicity of working with his hands and spending time on the things he enjoyed most, such as leather work and woodwork. He had a passion for racing RC cars and took great interest in working on his trucks. Russ also spent many years doing fencing work, which he enjoyed with Rita.
Russ is survived by his nieces Terri, Jodi, Nikki, Rhonda, Trina, Chantel, Crystal and Bobby-Jo; nephews Shane and Owen; sister Sheila; and brother Norman.
He was predeceased by his parents Wanda and Gordon; brother Chester; sister Karen; nephew Derek.
