Dennis “Brian” Adams
February 21, 1945 – August 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Brian Adams, who passed away unexpectedly at his house in Condor, Alberta, on August 27, 2026, at the age of 81.
Brian was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, on February 21, 1945. He was a man who found happiness in the simple things in life and never needed much to make a good day a great one.
He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed being out on the boat, spending time on the water and, of course, sitting back and enjoying a cold beer. These were the moments when Brian was happiest—outside, enjoying life and making memories.
Brian loved his wife, Val. She was the love of his life and his greatest companion. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, memories and the everyday moments that become the most treasured ones.
Brian also had two very special companions who meant the world to him—his dogs, Black and Decker. They were more than just dogs; they were his family, his constant companions and truly his world.
Brian will be remembered for the life he lived, the people and animals he loved, and the memories he left behind. He will be deeply missed by Val, his family, his friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Val Adams; his son, D’Arcy Mathews; his daughter, Krista (Clint) and their children, Trinity and Sam; Jenny and her sons, Pavel and Sasha; and his son, Neal (Crystal) and their children, Malcolm and Wendall, and Mauricio (Ashley). His brother; Wayne, and Val’s daughter, Dana (Mike) and their children, Neveah, Jensen, Aubree and Braylynn.
He is also survived by; Val’s sister, Barb (Bone); nephews Stewart, Kim, Shawn, Todd, Tim and Trevor; and nieces Heather, Sherri, Lori and Tynita.
Though he may no longer be sitting beside us, his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the places he loved and the many lives he touched.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Brian’s Life on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1pm at the Leslieville Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for Donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
