Obituary

Judith “Judi” Smith
October 10, 1944 - July 27, 2026

Judith ”Judi” Ann Smith passed away peacefully in her sleep at Rocky Mountain House Hospital on July 27, 2026.

Judi lived a life grounded in family, comfort, and kindness. She poured her heart into the things she created and the people she loved, leaving behind an abundance of handmade warmth and memories.
Judi was the beloved wife of Rodrick Andre “Andy” Smith and a devoted mother to her sons, Anthony “Tony” Gordan Smith and James “Jim” Ralph Smith, and daughter-in-law Le Smith. Her greatest joy lived in her role as a grandmother, deeply cherishing her grandchildren, Abbigail “Abby” Jade Smith, Emma Jade Smith and Leim James Smith.

Judi is survived by Andy, Tony, Jim, Le, Abby, Emma, Leim and her sister Irene Stager.
She is predeceased by her mother, Donna Stager, her father, Ralph Stager and her two brothers Gordan Stager and Norman Stager.

Her steady presence, gentle care, and the love she stitched into every corner of her family’s lives will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of life will be held at the Rocky Church of the Nazarene on Saturday August 8th at 1 PM.

When we spoke briefly a few days ago
( Post Office lot ) I felt so sorry for both of you!
My original friendship with you, goes back years ago, to the 12 years I severed on town volunteer fire department.
Late nite calls mostly of vehicles coming to a gruesome entanglement!
You, and your tow truck, often assisted at the scene !
Over the years since , the connection was a friendly visit ( usually with you both ) in a grocery store in town .
We have a family commitment the day of Judi’s
